chessman

There are thirty-two chess pieces, divided into two groups, red and black, each group has a total of sixteen, each divided into seven types, the names and numbers of which are as follows:

Red chess pieces: one handsome, two each for rook, horse, cannon, phase, and shi, and five soldiers.

Black chess pieces: one rook, two horses, two cannons, two elephants, and five pawns.

Handsome / will

The red side is "handsome" and the black side is "will". Shuai He will be the leader in chess and the target that both sides are fighting for.

It can only move within the "nine houses", can go up or down, can be left or right, and can only walk one block according to the vertical or horizontal line each time. The handsome and the general cannot be directly opposite in the same straight line, otherwise the walking side will be judged negative.

Gentlemen/Taxis

The red side is "Shi" and the black side is "Shi". It can also only walk around within the nine palaces. Its chess path can only be a diagonal line within the nine houses. Taxis can only walk one oblique grid at a time.

Image/phase

The red square is "phase" and the black square is "elephant". Its way of walking is to walk diagonally two blocks at a time, commonly known as "elephant flying field". The scope of activity of the phase (elephant) is limited to its own position within the "river boundary", and cannot cross the river, and if there is a chess piece in the center of the "field" character it is walking, it cannot walk, commonly known as "plug elephant eye".

Car (jū)

The rook is the most powerful in chess, regardless of horizontal or vertical lines, as long as there is no sub-blocking, the number of moves is not limited. It is commonly known as "car straight road". Therefore, a car can control up to seventeen points, so it is known as "one car and ten children".

cannon

When the cannon does not eat the seed, it moves exactly the same as the rook, but when the cannon eats the seed, it must jump over a chess piece, both from the side and the enemy, commonly known as "shelling the partition" and "over the mountain".

horse

The way for horses to walk around is to always oblique, that is, first walk sideways or straight, and then walk diagonally, commonly known as "horse walking day". The selection points that the horse can walk at a time can reach eight points around the four sides, so there is a saying of "eight sides of majesty". If there are other pieces blocking in the direction to go, the horse cannot walk over, commonly known as "crappy horse legs".

Soldiers/pawns

The red side is "soldier" and the black side is "pawn".

Soldiers (pawns) can only walk forward, not backward, and cannot walk across before crossing the river. After crossing the river, you can also move left and right, but you can only take one step at a time, even so, the power of soldiers (pawns) is greatly enhanced, so there is a saying of "small pawns crossing the river top cart".
