Pokémon GO enthusiasts, get ready for an exciting new event: Sweet Discoveries! This event marks the debut of Applin, a charming Grass and Dragon-type Pokémon from the Galar region. If you're passionate about collecting new Pokémon or hunting for shinies, this is an event you won't want to miss. Let's dive into all the details you need to know about Sweet Discoveries.
When Is Applin Debuting in Pokémon GO?
Mark your calendars! Sweet Discoveries kicks off on April 24th at 10:00 a.m. and will continue until April 29th at 8:00 p.m. local time. The highlight of this event is undoubtedly the introduction of Applin to Pokémon GO. To evolve Applin into Flapple, you'll need 200 Applin Candies and 20 Tart Apples. If you're aiming for Appletun, you'll need the same number of candies but with 20 Sweet Apples instead. For its final evolution to Dipplin, and ultimately Hydrapple, keep collecting those resources!
A key part of the evolution process involves the Apples. These will appear in the wild during the event. Tapping on them could reward you with a Tart Apple, a Sweet Apple, or even Applin itself. To increase your chances of encountering these Apples, make sure to use Mossy Lure Modules.
Did You Know?
Applin is unique in that it spends its entire life inside an apple, cleverly disguising itself to avoid its natural predators, bird Pokémon. This makes Applin one of the cutest Pokémon in the entire roster of Pokémon GO.
During the Sweet Discoveries event, you'll also find new avatar items in the shop, including an Applin Headband and an Applin Apron. On the bonuses front, you'll enjoy 2× Candy for catching Pokémon throughout the event.
Your chances of encountering Shiny Delibird and Shiny Skwovet in the wild will be higher during this event. Additionally, there's an increased likelihood of hatching Shiny Delibird, Shiny Cherubi, and Shiny Skwovet from 7 km Eggs.
Another delightful aspect of the event involves berries. Catching Delibird or Skwovet will result in them dropping berries, adding a fun element to your gameplay. If you haven't yet, make sure to download Pokémon GO from the Google Play Store and join in on the fun.
