From April 25th to May 5th, CrazyGames is set to host the exciting Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 in collaboration with Photon, the premier multiplayer service provider. This 10-day event invites indie developers from around the globe to dive into the world of web-based multiplayer gaming, pushing the boundaries of innovation and creativity.
Participants in the jam have the chance to win a portion of the €10,000 cash prize pool, along with premium Photon licenses. These include a 500 CCU with Circle Starter for a year (valued at €7,500), a 500 CCU license for a year (€1,500), and a 100 CCU license for a year (€100). The only requirements are that games must be developed and submitted within the jam period and meet PEGI 12 rating standards, leaving developers ample room to explore their creativity.
Since its inception in 2014, CrazyGames has become the go-to platform for free online gaming, leveraging technologies like HTML5, JavaScript, and WebGL to deliver seamless browser-based gaming experiences. During the jam, CrazyGames will provide support and offer winners the chance to have their games published on their platform.
Ahead of the jam, a pre-event livestream will take place on April 24th at 4 pm CEST on YouTube and LinkedIn. This session will introduce two new WebGL platforms, Fusion and Quantum. Mark Val, Head of Growth at Photon Engine, emphasized the significance of these platforms, stating, "Photon has supported multiplayer WebGL for over a decade, and our new Fusion and Quantum samples let you create high-performant multiplayer games easily. We believe a WebGL game will be in the top 20 of the world’s most visited websites in the coming year, and the Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 is a good opportunity for everyone to innovate on the platform."
Registration for the Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 is free and open to developers of all skill levels. For more details and to sign up, visit the official jam page.
