Monster Hunter Now is gearing up for the exciting launch of its Season 5: The Blossoming Blade, set to commence on March 6th, 2025. Niantic has unveiled a host of new features, challenges, weapons, a Season Pass, and new monsters to keep players engaged and thrilled throughout this season.
Getting Ready for Monster Hunter Now Season 5
Ahead of Season 5's official launch, players can look forward to a special treat with the arrival of Chatacabra on February 28th. This marks its grand debut before it makes its first appearance in Monster Hunter Wilds. Once the season officially kicks off, you'll also encounter Glavenus and Arzuros in the game, adding to the roster of formidable foes.
Weapons are in for a treat with balance adjustments aimed at enhancing the viability and enjoyment of every weapon type. The Sword & Shield is receiving a significant buff, making it easier to target breakable parts such as tails. Additionally, the Perfect Rush Combo (SP) will reward players with stronger performance for well-timed taps, leading to more satisfying combos.
The Guard skill is also getting an upgrade. Previously, leveling up Guard didn't make much of a difference, but now, higher skill levels will noticeably reduce the damage taken when blocking. More details on weapon tweaks will be revealed in the full patch notes on March 6th.
And There Is More!
For those struggling with an overflowing inventory, Monster Hunter Now Season 5 introduces an Item Box Expansion available as a Supply Item. This expansion grants an additional 250 slots, providing much-needed space for your gear and resources.
As part of Monster Hunter Now's 1.5-Year Anniversary celebration, a new feature will roll out on March 17th. This feature allows players to trade special materials earned from hunts and events for a variety of awesome rewards. Expect to find items like Item Box Expansions, Weapon Refining Parts, Armor Refining Parts, and Wyvern Gem Shards available for trade.
