Upcoming Pokemon GO Event Adds Shroodle, Grafaiai, and Features Shadow Pokemon

Niantic has unveiled exciting news for Pokemon GO enthusiasts with the announcement of the Fashion Week: Taken Over event, set to commence on January 15. This event will mark the debut of Shroodle and its evolution, Grafaiai, in the popular mobile game. Shroodle, a Poison/Normal-type creature introduced in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, boasts a distinctive large head and eyes that dominate its body. Upon reaching level 28, it evolves into Grafaiai, a lemur-like primate with unique three-fingered hands. Both have been featured in the Gen 9 games and have made cameo appearances in Pokemon Horizons episodes.

- Team GO Rocket will be more frequently encountered at PokeStops and in balloons.
- A Charged TM can now be used to help a Shadow Pokemon forget the Charged Attack Frustration.

During the Fashion Week: Taken Over event, players can hatch Shroodle from 12 km eggs and evolve it into Grafaiai with 50 Shroodle Candy. A unique feature of the event includes the opportunity to encounter Croagunk in a fashion week outfit by taking a snapshot. Moreover, the event will introduce a new Special Research to save Shadow Palkia and the chance to encounter six new Shadow Pokemon, including the Unova starters. Shadow Raids will feature seven monsters, with the notable addition of using Remote Raid Passes for the first time in these battles. New Field Research tasks will offer rewards such as Mysterious Components and TMs, while themed Showcases and Collection Challenges will enhance the gaming experience. The in-game shop will also feature a new bundle for 300 coins, packed with useful items.
In the coming days, Pokemon GO players can look forward to more exciting events, including the debut of the Corviknight evolutionary line on January 21, a Shadow Raid Day, and a Classic Community Day on January 25, offering another chance to catch Ralts.
