Microsoft has announced an exciting lineup of Xbox Game Pass titles set to be added in the first half of April 2025, featuring a mix of first- and third-party games that are sure to delight gamers. The list includes eagerly anticipated titles such as South of Midnight, Borderlands 3 Ultimate Edition, Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls – Ultimate Evil Edition, and more.
This robust selection was highlighted in a recent Xbox Wire post. The month will kick off on April 3 with the addition of Gearbox Software’s Borderlands 3 Ultimate Edition, available across Cloud, Console, and PC for all tiers. Joining it on the same day will be All You Need Is Help (Console), Still Wakes the Deep (Xbox Series X | S), and Wargroove 2 (Console), all accessible via Game Pass Standard. This initial wave promises to keep Xbox enthusiasts engaged throughout the month, with only a brief wait until the next batch of games arrives on April 8. On this date, South of Midnight (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X | S) and Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls – Ultimate Evil Edition (Console and PC) will become available to all Game Pass subscribers.
South of Midnight, developed by Compulsion Games and set in the Deep South, is poised to be one of Xbox's most significant releases of the year. Its inclusion in Game Pass is expected to attract a wide audience eager to explore its folklore-based adventure. Microsoft's official description emphasizes the game's unique blend of mythos and modern storytelling: "Explore the mythos and confront mysterious creatures of the Deep South in this modern folktale while learning to weave an ancient power to surmount obstacles and face the pain haunting your hometown."
Following closely, Commandos: Origins (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X | S) will join the service for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers on April 9, with Blue Prince (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X | S) following on April 10 for the same tiers. Rounding out the first wave of additions, Hunt: Showdown 1896 (PC) will be available for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers starting April 15.
In addition to the new games, Xbox Game Pass perks are being refreshed for the first half of April 2025. Notable perks include the Beyond the Void Bundle for The First Descendant, the Sweet Starter Pack for Candy Crush Solitaire on mobile devices, and an anniversary Seventh Serving Emote for Sea of Thieves fans.
