RYFFC provides a safe and comfortable environment where individuals can freely share their thoughts on news without the fear of public prosecution. By redefining the stigma associated with news, RYFFC democratizes the way news is generated, consumed, and engaged with, creating a safe and engaging social experience. This platform introduces a NEW WAY to NEWS.
On RYFFC, users are exposed to a diverse range of thoughts, articles, and opinions. While there is no censorship, we ensure that the experience remains non-triggering through our anti-bullying systems and a comprehensive self-moderation system. This allows users to choose which posts they are ready to see.
Ryff
A key feature of RYFFC is the Ryff. A Ryff is a succinct "hot take" on an article, limited to just 88 characters. This innovative feature allows users, known as Ryffers, to share their quick thoughts on articles, pop culture, and news, bypassing traditional comment structures. If a Ryff catches your eye, you can engage directly with the Ryffer through a Ryff Back. Remember, at RYFFC, we take turns, so choose your words wisely as you can only Ryff on another's Ryff once until they respond.
Self Moderation
RYFFC empowers users to self-select their preferred level of controversy or triggering material through our three levels of moderation:
- G - "General" audience moderation level for mild or non-controversial content.
- M - "Moderate" audience moderation level for mild to moderately controversial content.
- BE - "Bleeding Edge" audience moderation level for all available content, including highly controversial material.
Voting
In conjunction with self-moderation, users have the ability to vote on the moderation level for articles, ensuring content aligns with their comfort level.
Superboost
Superboost adds an exciting twist to the traditional "Like" feature. If you find a post particularly engaging, you can give it an extra boost to highlight your appreciation.
Like/Dislike
The classic like/dislike feature gets a fresh take on RYFFC. Instead of clicking a thumb, users can swipe left or right on an article to express their opinion.
