How to Play

On the flip side, if you're an evil role, like a Serial Killer, you'll be lurking in the shadows, taking out Town members by night while dodging detection.
Roles
With 33 unique roles, Town of Salem ensures that no two games are the same. Before the game kicks off, players gather in a lobby where the host can tailor the roles to be included. Game Phases
Night
The night phase is shrouded in mystery and action. This is when Serial Killers silently claim their victims, Doctors work to counteract attacks, and Sheriffs probe for signs of guilt among the populace.
Day
Daylight brings the opportunity for Town members to convene and deliberate on who might be harboring sinister intentions. As the voting phase commences, a majority vote can send a suspect to trial.
Defense
In the defense phase, the accused must weave a compelling tale of innocence or face the grim prospect of the gallows.
Judgement
The town then casts their votes in the judgement phase. Players can vote guilty, innocent, or choose to abstain. If the guilty votes outnumber the innocent ones, the accused meets their end by hanging.
