Thousand (1000) - Schnapsen

A classic card game for three players using a 24-card deck.

Current game rules:

- Players need 880 points to declare a barrel

- Points reset after three failed barrel attempts

- Receiving a bolt penalty for zero-score rounds

- Three bolts trigger a 120-point penalty

- Surrendering players face full penalty while others receive half

Available game settings:

- Victory requires surpassing 1000 points

- Automatic point reset at 555 or -555 points

- Barrel declaration without bidding (details below)

- Card redeal when talon or hand values fall below threshold

- Ace marriage scoring

- Golden round option

- Collaborative barrel play scenarios

Explaining "own turn" barrel play:

Players may declare barrel when reaching 880 points during their designated turn.

An "own turn" occurs when holding first-bid rights.

This grants automatic bidding victory and talon claim regardless of opponents' cards.

Failed attempts incur penalties and count toward the three-strike reset.

Standard barrel rules apply except during non-turn situations where attempts don't count.

Multiple players meeting barrel requirements resolve turns sequentially.
