"Sea Battle" is a two-player game where opponents take turns guessing coordinates on their rival's hidden map.
If a ship is located at the called coordinates, then that ship or a section of it is "sunk",
and the player who scored the hit earns another turn. The goal is to be the first to sink all of your opponent's ships.
Each player's board is typically a 10x10 grid where a fleet of ships is positioned.
The fleet consists of:
1 ship — a 4-cell row ("four-deck" battleship)
2 ships — a 3-cell row ("three-deck" cruisers)
3 ships — a 2-cell row ("double-deck" destroyers)
4 ships — a single cell ("single-deck" torpedo boats)
When placing your fleet, ships cannot touch each other on their sides or corners.
Next to your own grid, an empty "enemy" grid of the same size is displayed. This represents the sea where your opponent's ships are located.
A hit on an enemy ship is marked with a cross on the enemy grid, while a miss is marked with a dot. The player who makes a successful hit shoots again.
The winner is the first player to sink all 10 of the opponent's ships.
