Catch Records for English/Welsh Under 10m Vessels Fishing in UK Waters
Use this app to create and submit catch records for all English and Welsh under 10 metre (U10m) flag vessels that operate within UK waters. This tool is essential for ensuring that all catches are properly documented, aiding UK fishing authorities in sustainably managing fishing levels.
Who Can Use This Service?
You can use this service if you are:
- A registered vessel owner
- A skipper
For Registered Vessel Owners: You will receive an invite email to start using the service. The timing of this email depends on your vessel size. You have one calendar month from the receipt of the email to register and begin utilizing the service.
For Skippers: If you are a skipper, please contact the vessel owner to request an invite.
For Members of Producer Organisations Leasing Quota: If you are part of a producer organisation and lease quota, do not use this online service. Continue to record your catch using a paper logbook.
What This Service Replaces
This service replaces the following:
- The NEP1 form
- The MSAR1 form, though note that local Inshore Fisheries and Conservation Authorities (IFCAs) may require additional information depending on your location
- The requirement to complete a logbook when leasing fish quota and/or when fishing in 2 ICES areas (currently IV4/VIId and VIId/VIIe)
