Neowiz and Gamfs N's BrownDust2 heats things up with its latest content update, "Onsen Training," arriving hot on the heels of its 1.5-year anniversary celebration. This update plunges players into a Japanese winter hot spring setting, filled with thrilling sword-fighting battles and characteristic BrownDust2 challenges, all spiced up with a dash of mischievous monkey business.
BrownDust2's Onsen Training Update: A Steaming Hot Adventure
The update introduces three new characters: Ventana, the story's protagonist, and Liberta, both available via the in-game pickup draw; and Blade, an exclusive narrative character.
The Onsen Training event unfolds within the same universe as Character Pack 1: Jayden's Gate, featuring a robust 30-battle campaign across 15 normal and 15 challenging modes. The narrative follows Ventana, the Kendo Club captain, after a humiliating defeat. Seeking to regain her honor, she embarks on training at a legendary hot spring, only to find her plans disrupted by playful, yet troublesome, Snowy Mountain Monkeys. Rescued by Blade, a legendary Kendo Club alumnus, Ventana's training request is initially denied, prompting Liberta, the hot spring manager, to intervene and assist Ventana in securing Blade's tutelage.
A New Mini-Game: Onsen Tile Tactics
The update also introduces "Onsen Tile Tactics," a time-limited tile-clearing mini-game. The event story is divided into phases: "Legendary Graduate" (Week 1), culminating in "Beyond Legend" (Week 3). Players will face both returning and new bosses, including the returning Giant Rou and the formidable Snowy Mountain Tyrant (Week 3), a colossal monkey whose power increases when targeting enemies with DoT effects. The Guild Raid boss, Rucersingha, the Ruler of the Void, makes its debut, presenting a challenging encounter with devastating attacks and a high chain-stack requirement.
New Rewards Await
Players can also acquire new equipment and costumes. The "Onsen Practitioner Ventana" costume is available until January 30th, followed by the "Onsen Manager Liberta" costume, available until February 13th.
