Following the recent conclusion of Pocket Gamer Connects in London, we had the exciting opportunity to get hands-on with some of the latest game releases. Among them, the word-based puzzle game WordPix particularly caught our editor Dann Sullivan's attention.
In WordPix, the gameplay is refreshingly straightforward. Players are shown a series of images and must deduce the corresponding word. For instance, an image of a scaly reptile might lead you to guess "Lizard," while a particular rodent could hint at "Capybara." While the concept isn't overly complex, it's an excellent way to exercise your brain on the go.
To keep the gameplay engaging, WordPix offers a variety of modes. From solo and multiplayer options to "Beat the Boss" challenges where you can test your skills against the computer, there's something for everyone. Additionally, daily challenges such as "Word of the Day" and "Quote of the Day," along with a Sudoku mode, ensure a diverse and enjoyable experience.

It's clear why WordPix piqued Dann's interest. The game boasts a simple, clean, and readable user interface and graphics, an accessible concept that increases in difficulty, and numerous variations to keep players engaged. As WordPix gears up for its global launch this year, we hope to see more exciting additions from the developers to attract even more players. Currently, those in the US and UK can enjoy the game on iOS, while UK Android users can also join in the fun.
