DC Studios has unveiled an exciting new trailer for the upcoming Superman film, directed by James Gunn and set to hit theaters on July 11, 2025. This three-minute trailer offers fans a deeper look into the expansive ensemble of superheroes and supervillains that will grace the screen. Notable among them is Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner / Green Lantern, showcasing his power by effortlessly dispatching enemies. Isabela Merced captivates as Hawkgirl, and we get our clearest view yet of The Engineer, portrayed by María Gabriela de Faría.
The trailer reveals that it's The Engineer who unleashes chaos in the Fortress of Solitude by destroying the robots, including Kelex, that care for Superman. We previously saw a distressed Superman mourning over Kelex in an earlier trailer. Additionally, Krypto the Superdog makes a heroic entrance, engaging in combat with The Engineer, demonstrating his readiness to confront villains head-on.
The trailer also features Lex Luthor, played by Nicholas Hoult, and Ultraman in action. There's increased screen time for Edi Gathegi's Mister Terrific and Anthony Carrigan's Rex Mason / Metamorpho. The newly introduced Hammer of Boravia, who made a brief appearance in yesterday's teaser, appears in the full trailer. This character, created by Gunn for the film, is speculated to be Ultraman in disguise.

Central to the narrative is the dynamic between Clark Kent and Lois Lane, highlighted by a tense interview where Lois questions Clark in his Superman persona. Their conversation escalates into a heated debate over Superman's controversial decision to intervene in a foreign war, with Clark defending his actions as purely altruistic ("I wasn’t representing anyone except for me... and doing good!"). In response, The Hammer of Boravia launches an attack on Downtown Metropolis.
In another poignant scene, a civilian aids Superman by helping him out of a hole in the ground during the battle with The Hammer of Boravia. This moment of public support starkly contrasts with other scenes where the public expresses hostility towards Superman, even throwing objects at him.
