Streamer Completes FromSoftware's Impossible Challenge After Two Years

FromSoftware games are notoriously challenging, as evidenced by streamer Kai Cenat's over 1,000 deaths while attempting to complete Elden Ring. This backdrop makes the feats of players who tackle even more daunting challenges all the more awe-inspiring.

Streamer Dinossindgeil has etched his name into gaming history by becoming the first person to conquer the God Run 3 SL1 challenge. This monumental task required him to complete seven FromSoftware games consecutively without leveling up or taking a single hit. The journey, which spanned nearly two years, culminated in an emotional victory when he defeated the final boss, Soul of Cinder, in Dark Souls III. Overwhelmed by the achievement, Dinossindgeil broke down in tears.

The God Run 3 SL1 is widely regarded as the most grueling challenge within the FromSoftware community. It demands that players finish seven games in a row without any leveling up and without taking even the slightest damage. The rules are strict: if a player is hit even once, they must restart the entire run, regardless of their progress.

To achieve this, Dinossindgeil faced an immense number of attempts. In the summer of 2024, a run was thwarted by a bug in Dark Souls II, where an arrow unexpectedly clipped through a wall. At that point, he had already triumphed over Elden Ring and Dark Souls I, but the rules forced him to begin anew.

It will be fascinating to see how FromSoftware responds to this remarkable achievement. What is undeniable, however, is that Dinossindgeil has cemented his legacy in the annals of gaming history.
