When Does the Open Alpha Begin?
The Open Alpha Test kicks off on February 27, 2025, for both console and PC platforms, concluding on March 2, 2025. The announcement was made alongside a new trailer during the February PlayStation State of Play event.
How to Participate:
Joining the Open Alpha is simple. On February 27th:
- Navigate to your preferred digital storefront (Steam, PlayStation Store, Xbox Store, etc.).
- Search for "Splitgate 2".
- Download the Crossplay Alpha Test.
What Awaits You in the Open Alpha:
The Open Alpha will showcase Splitgate 2's core cross-platform functionality, along with its brand-new 24-player mode: Multi-Team Portal Warfare. This massive mode pits three teams of eight against each other on the game's largest map yet. Expect to experiment with new weapons, perks, and equipment, all within the signature Splitgate fast-paced action.
While new classes and unique abilities are in development, the iconic portal mechanics remain central to the gameplay experience. Developer 1047 Games has emphasized that player feedback has significantly shaped the game's development, aiming to create a landmark FPS title.
