Nothing is more frustrating than returning to your game only to find that your latest progress hasn't been saved. In *R.E.P.O.*, you must complete the entire level for the game to autosave. There is no manual save option available, meaning if you exit during a retrieval mission or if you die (sending you to the Disposal Arena), your save file will be lost, and you'll need to restart the level. Death in *R.E.P.O.* results in the deletion of your save file, and leaving mid-level forces you to begin anew from the start of that level.
To save your game, you need to successfully finish a level. After collecting valuables, head to the Extraction Point, enter the truck, and press the message button above your head to signal the Taxman, your AI boss, that you're ready to proceed to the Service Station.
