Botany Manor's PlayStation Debut Set for January 28th
Originally slated for a December 17th, 2024 release, the PlayStation versions of the critically acclaimed puzzle game Botany Manor have been delayed, with a new launch date now set for January 28th, 2025. This applies to both PS4 and PS5 consoles.
Developed by Balloon Studios and published by Whitethorn Games, Botany Manor charmed players on Nintendo Switch, Xbox, and PC upon its April 2024 release. The game's charming aesthetic, clever puzzles, and relaxing gameplay earned it widespread praise, solidifying its place among the best puzzle games of the year. The delay, announced shortly before the initial December release, was attributed to the developers' commitment to delivering the best possible player experience.
While the January 28th launch date is confirmed, a PS Store page for the game is yet to appear. Players will need to wait a little longer before they can add it to their wishlists. The game is expected to retail at $24.99, consistent with other platforms, and will remain a one-time purchase without microtransactions. Unlike the Steam version, a separate digital soundtrack is not anticipated.
Botany Manor’s arrival will significantly enhance PlayStation's puzzle game library. Its strong critical reception (an 83 average score and 92% recommendation rate on OpenCritic) speaks volumes about its quality. The game's success marks a promising debut for Balloon Studios.
January 28th will be a busy day on the PlayStation Store, with other notable titles like Cuisineer, Eternal Strands, and The Son of Madness also launching. Following the PlayStation release, Botany Manor will be available on all initially announced platforms. Balloon Studios' next project remains unannounced.
