Trophy lists for an unannounced port of Tomb Raider: Anniversary for PS4 have appeared online.
While this might not be completely unexpected, especially since we've recently seen a series of classic Tomb Raider titles remastered — the Tomb Raider I-III Remastered and IV-VI Remastered collections launched in February 2024 and 2025 respectively — evidence suggests this could be a straightforward port instead of a full remaster.
What leads us to that conclusion? While nothing is confirmed, the trophies — viewable on the PlayStation tracking site True Trophies — are relatively few in number, and their accompanying images are also basic in design. This points towards a release for a service like the PlayStation Plus game catalog rather than a comprehensive remake.
As Redditor VeldinX outlined in their post "Anniversary leaked for PS4", "the format of this leaked list is consistent with other titles released under Sony’s classics catalogue, such as the limited trophy count and the simplistic image art. If it were a Saber remaster, we would likely see a much larger, more detailed list of objectives, and the trophy images would follow the same aesthetic as the TR1-6 remasters."
Naturally, this doesn't rule out the possibility that Aspyr, the studio behind the recent remasters, is also developing a new collection of classic games that includes Tomb Raider: Anniversary. It merely indicates that these specific trophies are linked to a separate release. In any case, an official clarification from either Sony or Aspyr is expected soon. Stay tuned for updates.
Tomb Raider: Anniversary is an action-adventure title originally developed in 2007 by Crystal Dynamics (now under Embracer Group) and published by the now-defunct Eidos Interactive. It launched for PC, PlayStation 2, Xbox 360, PlayStation Portable, Wii, and mobile devices. The game is the eighth mainline installment in the Tomb Raider franchise and the second chapter in the Legend trilogy.
