To play online with a friend, have them download “Split Fiction - Friend’s Pass” from their preferred digital marketplace after the game's release on March 6. This pass is free and enables your friend to join you in the game without any additional cost, following your invite. This system mirrors the approach Hazelight took with It Takes Two and A Way Out. What Is Split Fiction?
Split Fiction is an exclusively co-op two-player action adventure game where two writers—one specializing in sci-fi, the other in fantasy—are drawn into their own fictional worlds. Players must collaborate to combat enemies and solve puzzles within levels inspired by both genres. You might find yourself riding Tron-style motorcycles across gravity plates in one level, or transforming into mythical creatures in an enchanted forest in another.
Levels also feature "side stories," essentially minigames like riding a "sand fish" through a desert reminiscent of Dune, or water skiing behind a drone across the sea.
