How Much to Upgrade Switch Games to Switch 2 Edition?
Nintendo has confirmed the cost to upgrade from the original Switch games to the Switch 2 editions. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom upgrades will cost $9.99, but Kirby and the Forgotten Land and Super Mario Party Jamboree will cost more than double that. While precise U.S. prices are not yet available on the American Nintendo eShop, the UK Nintendo eShop lists the upgrade pack at £16.99 / €19.99, significantly higher than the £7.99 / €9.99 for the Zelda titles.

It's been revealed that most physical third-party Nintendo Switch 2 games in Japan are Game-Key Cards, a trend that seems to be continuing in the West. In the US, Sega's Switch 2 games like Sonic X Shadow Generations and Yakuza 0: Director’s Cut are listed as Game-Key Cards.
