Flat2VR Studios has exciting news for fans of the classic trash shooter, announcing a virtual reality adaptation of Postal 2, which originally hit the shelves 22 years ago. The project was introduced with a captivating debut trailer that showcases the game's signature humor and chaotic gameplay, bringing the experience to life in a whole new dimension.
The trailer follows the protagonist, the Dude, as he embarks on a mission to gather signatures in support of the development of Postal 2 VR. As the trailer progresses, the developers reveal some of the remake’s standout features. These include a redesigned shooting mechanic specifically tailored for VR controllers, an updated user interface for smoother navigation, and a refreshed mini-map system to enhance the player's immersion and interaction with the game world.
A dedicated Steam page for Postal 2: VR is now live, offering fans a closer look with screenshots, system requirements, and further details about the game. To enjoy the PC version, users will need at least Windows 10, an Intel Core i5-4590 or AMD Ryzen 5 1500X CPU, an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 or AMD Radeon R9 290 GPU, and 8 GB of RAM. While Russian voiceovers will not be included in this release, subtitles will be provided to ensure accessibility for a broader audience.
Despite these modern upgrades, the core experience remains faithful to the original game. Players will still engage in everyday errands such as grocery shopping and returning library books, but with the freedom to abandon normalcy at any moment and dive into absolute mayhem, true to Postal 2's notorious gameplay.
Postal 2 VR will be available across multiple platforms, including SteamVR, PS VR2, Quest 2, and Quest 3, ensuring that players can experience this iconic game in VR, no matter their preferred system.
