Pokémon TCG Pocket's card art has captivated players since its release, but recently, hidden details connecting the artwork to the original Game Boy games have been unearthed.
The discovery began when a Reddit user, asch_win, highlighted the Spearow card. The card's background subtly depicts Celadon City's Department Store from Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen, alongside a fenced-off grassy area reminiscent of Route 16, a known Spearow habitat.

This sparked further investigation, revealing more connections. Another Reddit user, jteede, identified a Diglett card set near Vermillion City and a Haunter card near Lavender Town's iconic tower. Asch_win also found references within Supporter cards, further solidifying the intentional inclusion of these Easter eggs.
Many card illustrations feature fantastical settings, but some, including a Pikachu card, are clearly recognizable real-world counterparts. Others are unique to Pokémon TCG Pocket, adding to the intrigue of these hidden references.
The community has since engaged in a collective effort to uncover more connections. A Gyarados card seemingly includes the S.S. Anne, while Oddish, Venonat, and Bellsprout cards collectively depict a scene from FireRed and LeafGreen's Snorlax location.
