Halloween in Pokémon GO is about to kick off, so Niantic has dropped the details about Part 1 of the event. Yes, there’s going to be a Part 2, too! There are some exciting features and spooky encounters.Starting on Tuesday, October 22nd, at 10:00 a.m. local time, the Halloween event in Pokémon GO will run until Monday, October 28th, 2024, at 10:00 a.m.What’s In Store?Morpeko is finally making its debut in Pokémon GO. The little Electric/Dark-type will bring some unique mechanics with it, especially when you’re facing off against Team GO Rocket or battling in the GO Battle League.Morpeko’s ability to switch between Full Belly Mode and Hangry Mode mid-battle, depending on the Charged Attack it uses, is so fun to witness. In Full Belly Mode, you’ll be able to use Aura Wheel (Electric), which comes with a powerful 100 power and increases the user’s Attack. In Hangry Mode, Aura Wheel becomes a Dark-type move, but it still packs that same 100-power punch and also boosts your Attack.During the Halloween event in Pokémon GO, you’ll have a higher chance to encounter Morpeko in the premium track of the GO Battle League. Afterwards, it will continue to be available starting at Rank 16. But you’ll still find it more frequently on the premium side.Happy Halloween In Pokémon GO-Style!As always, the game is upping the atmosphere with special holiday-themed décor. And, if you love the eerie Lavender Town theme, there’s a remix of the classic music playing every night during the Halloween event. Check out this Lavender Town video as well!

Another major feature of the Halloween event in Pokémon GO is the introduction of Dynamax Gastly in one-star Max Raids. Along with Gastly, you’ll also find Grookey, Scorbunny and Sobble in one-star Max Raids.
The free Timed Research is available from October 22nd to November 3rd. This time, the focus is on Spiritomb and its 108 spirits. Completing tasks will reward you with encounters featuring Halloween-themed Pokémon, including Spiritomb and Morpeko.
