At the ID@Xbox Showcase event, the team behind Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault unveiled an exciting new trailer, giving fans a sneak peek into the much-anticipated sequel. The developers also confirmed that the game will be available on Xbox Game Pass from day one, with a release expected before the year's end.
Digital Sun, in collaboration with publisher 11 bit studios, has crafted an isometric action-adventure RPG infused with roguelike elements. In Moonlighter 2, players take on the role of an entrepreneur, striving to transform their modest shop into a thriving business. To achieve this, they must brave perilous dungeons, collect rare artifacts, and confront fearsome creatures.
Building on the success of the original, Moonlighter 2 offers a richer narrative and enhanced gameplay mechanics. The story follows the protagonist, Will, on his quest to find his native dimension within the vast world of Trense. Along the way, Will reconnects with old allies and forms new friendships. His journey leads him to a mysterious trader who enlists his help in finding powerful relics, believed to be the key to returning home.
The game's soundtrack is composed by the renowned Chris Larkin, famous for his work on Hollow Knight. Fans can look forward to Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault launching later this year on PC via Steam, Xbox Series, and PS5.
