Marvel Rivals Season 1: Eternal Night Falls – New Characters, Maps, and Game Mode Unveiled
NetEase Games recently dropped exciting details about Marvel Rivals Season 1, launching January 10th at 1 AM PST. This three-month season introduces Mister Fantastic (Duelist) and The Invisible Woman (Strategist), with The Thing and Human Torch arriving six to seven weeks later. Expect the Baxter Building to feature prominently in a new map.
The Season 1 battle pass offers 10 new skins for 990 Lattice, with a rewarding 600 Lattice and 600 Units returned upon completion. A thrilling new game mode, "Doom Match," debuts alongside three new maps:
- Empire of the Eternal Night: Sanctum Sanctorum (Doom Match)
- Empire of the Eternal Night: Midtown (Convoy Missions)
- Empire of the Eternal Night: Central Park (Details to be revealed later in the season)
Doom Match is an arcade-style mode pitting 8-12 players against each other, with the top 50% declared victorious. Empire of the Eternal Night: Central Park will launch in the latter half of the season.
Addressing community concerns, NetEase Games acknowledged player feedback regarding character balance, particularly the strength of ranged characters like Hawkeye. Balancing adjustments are planned for the first half of Season 1. The developers emphasized their commitment to listening to player feedback and improving the game.
