Marvel Rivals is kicking off its Spring Festival event this Thursday, and it's bringing some exciting freebies! Players can snag a free Star-Lord costume and jump into a brand-new game mode: Clash of Dancing Lions. In this 3v3 mode, teams battle to score a ball in their opponents' goal.
While the gameplay might remind some of Rocket League, the mode bears a closer resemblance to Overwatch's Lucioball—the first special game mode in that title. This comparison is particularly interesting, as Marvel Rivals is currently striving to establish its own unique identity and differentiate itself from its Blizzard counterpart. The introduction of a mode reminiscent of Overwatch's inaugural special event, albeit with a distinctly Chinese New Year theme instead of an Olympic theme, is a notable choice.
