While July's update spotlighted Human Torch, Kabam is keeping the momentum going strong. Marvel Contest of Champions is charging into August with a scorching new update, introducing fresh Champions, a villain-driven narrative, and a series of high-difficulty quests to challenge veteran Summoners.
August welcomes not one, but two formidable new adversaries. First is Solvarch, an Eidol who can freeze opponents on contact and release absorbed energy in powerful bursts. Your chance to acquire Solvarch starts on August 7th.
See how these new characters stack up against the roster in our Marvel Contest of Champions tier list.
Then, on August 28th, Cassandra Nova enters the fray. This menacing psychic entity, recently featured in Deadpool & Wolverine, is the dark reflection of Charles Xavier and is poised to unleash chaos across The Battlerealm.

The villainous influx continues beyond new characters. The Rebirth Event launches on August 8th, returning familiar foes with upgraded abilities and more difficult encounters. Earn Rebirth Tokens to unlock 7-Star Champions like Night Thrasher, Anti-Venom, and Doctor Voodoo—but be quick, as the event concludes on September 3rd.
The new Crucible Chapter in Act 8: The Rebirth debuts on August 13th as a permanent addition. This grueling eight-boss gauntlet features Elimination Choice Nodes, forcing you to strategically select Champions to progress. For newer players, an Act 8 Mini Crucible is also available, designed for 2 and 3-Star Champions.
Completing the month's offerings is the Summoners Fest, a realm-wide event linked to Seasons 30 and 31. Earn contribution points, climb the leaderboards, and you could qualify for the Battlerealm Brawl Quarter Finals, scheduled for November 8th in Vancouver.
