Xbox Game Pass introduces Quests and enhanced Rewards for PC users, boosting engagement and rewarding playtime. However, access to these new features is restricted to players aged 18 and older, prioritizing age-appropriate gaming experiences.
Starting January 7th, PC Game Pass members (18+) will join Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members in accessing Quests and the Rewards Hub. This expansion significantly increases earning potential through various quest types:
- Daily Play: Earn 10 points daily by playing any Game Pass title for at least 15 minutes.
- Weekly Streaks: Playing at least five days a week earns points, with multipliers increasing based on consecutive weeks of participation (2x for 2 weeks, 3x for 3 weeks, 4x for 4+ weeks).
- Monthly Packs: Explore the catalog by playing four (Monthly 4-Pack) or eight (Monthly 8-Pack) different games (minimum 15 minutes each) monthly. The 4-Pack games count towards the 8-Pack.
- PC Weekly Bonus: Earn 150 points for playing at least 15 minutes for five or more days a week.
The Rewards Hub, accessible via Xbox console, the Xbox app (Windows PC and mobile), will be unavailable to users under 18. Microsoft emphasizes its commitment to age-appropriate content, limiting younger players' reward earning to parentally approved purchases from the Microsoft Store. This update aims to enhance the Game Pass experience for eligible members while maintaining responsible gaming practices.
