Don't Nod, the French studio behind Life is Strange, has launched the first part of their new narrative adventure. Players can now experience "Tape 1," with "Tape 2" launching free for all owners on April 15th.
Initially unveiled in 2023, the game centers on a close group of friends shattered during the summer of 1995. Twenty-seven years later, the specters of that summer resurface, unleashing unforeseen and terrifying repercussions.
Blending nostalgic charm with psychological thriller elements, the game draws clear inspiration from titles like It, Yellowjackets, and I Know What You Did Last Summer. The game's structure is divided into two parts: "Bloom" and "Rage." Currently, only "Bloom," the first half of this chilling narrative, is available (February 18th release).
"The Tape," the second part, arrives April 15th. Originally planned for March, the release was delayed to refine the overall experience.
The review embargo has been lifted, and OpenCritic shows a 74/100 average critical score—a promising start for this captivating mystery.
