The PC version of Stellar Blade is set to launch on Steam on June 11, accompanied by a host of PC-specific features. This exciting news was inadvertently revealed by Sony through a trailer posted on the PlayStation YouTube channel, which was quickly removed but not before the internet preserved it.
The trailer also unveiled the Stellar Blade Complete Edition, which includes the base game and all the DLC released to date for both PS5 and PC. This announcement comes more than a year after the game's successful launch on PS5 in April 2024.
Stellar Blade on PC will come equipped with features that enhance the gaming experience, including AI upscaling through Nvidia DLSS 4 and AMD FSR 3, an unlocked framerate, voiceover options in Japanese and Chinese, ultrawide display support, higher resolution environment textures, and DualSense support for haptic feedback and trigger effects.
In addition to these technical enhancements, the trailer teased new content such as a boss battle against Mann, Leader of the Sentinels, and 25 new costumes, which are expected to be available on both PC and PS5. An intriguing detail at the end of the trailer shows Eve releasing a memory stick, sparking speculation about a new ending or additional DLC.
The Stellar Blade Complete Edition is set to launch on both PC and PS5, promising an enriched experience for fans. Developed by Korean studio Shift Up, Stellar Blade was a major success, generating $43 million in royalties in its last financial year. The PC version is anticipated to surpass the sales of the PS5 version, which sold over 1 million copies within two months of its release. Shift Up is also considering expanding the franchise with another game.
In Stellar Blade, players step into the shoes of Eve, fighting to reclaim Earth from unknown invaders in a fast-paced action role-playing game. Despite earning a 7/10 from IGN due to its strong action elements, the game faced criticism for its characters, storyline, and some frustrating RPG mechanics. Nonetheless, it quickly sold a million copies, indicating its popularity among gamers.
