Bethesda has announced that MachineGames’ eagerly awaited title, Indiana Jones and The Great Circle, is set to launch on PlayStation 5 on April 15 for early access, ahead of its global release on April 17. Those who pre-order the game will have the privilege of early access.
The PS5 release, arriving four months after its debut on Xbox and PC, was unveiled with a witty promotional trailer featuring two of the video game industry's most iconic actors sharing the screen.
In the trailer, Troy Baker, who voices Indiana Jones, engages in a light-hearted conversation with Nolan North, known for his role as Nathan Drake in the PlayStation-exclusive *Uncharted* series. This interaction not only highlights the playful rivalry between the two adventurers but also underscores the thematic connection between the *Indiana Jones* and *Uncharted* franchises, marking a significant moment for *The Great Circle*.Adding an interesting twist, Microsoft-owned Bethesda enlisted Nolan North, the voice behind Sony's Uncharted series, for their promotional video. Although North avoids direct references to Nathan Drake or Uncharted, his delivery is unmistakably knowing, adding depth to the banter.
In the video, North humorously hints at having broken into the opulent room they're in, suggesting the imminent arrival of guards, a nod to the typical Uncharted gameplay. When asked by North how he plans to tackle Private Military Forces with merely a whip, Baker taps his head and starts to say, “use the old—” only for North to quip, “headbutt. I like it. Aggressive.” North then describes himself as more of a “sidearms kinda guy… jeans… henley,” to which Baker responds, noting the perpetually half-tucked look.
The two actors then share their passion for ancient artifacts, albeit with different intentions—North aiming to sell them to the highest bidder, while Baker plans to donate them to museums. This exchange symbolizes Nathan Drake welcoming Indiana Jones into an elite club of adventurers, with North declaring, “Welcome to the club.” This marks a notable moment as Indiana Jones and The Great Circle joins Uncharted on the PS5, uniting two legendary treasure hunters. The playful banter concludes with a humorous suggestion that Lara Croft might crash the party, seeking to join the adventure.

This release is part of Microsoft’s broader strategy to expand its games across multiple platforms, following the successful launches of titles like Forza Horizon 5 and Doom: The Dark Ages on rival consoles. Indiana Jones and The Great Circle is the latest addition to this multiplatform push, with more Microsoft-developed games expected to follow suit.
Leveraging its day-one availability on Game Pass, Indiana Jones and The Great Circle has already attracted 4 million players—a number that is poised to increase significantly with the PS5 launch.
Harrison Ford, the legendary actor behind Indiana Jones, praised Troy Baker's performance, humorously stating to The Wall Street Journal, "You don’t need artificial intelligence to steal my soul. You can already do it for nickels and dimes with good ideas and talent. He did a brilliant job, and it didn’t take AI to do it." Ford's endorsement underscores the high-quality voice acting and creative talent behind the game, emphasizing that traditional skills and creativity remain irreplaceable in the gaming world.
