Unfrozen Games has unveiled a new gameplay trailer for Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era, offering a glimpse into its core mechanics, diverse units, and engaging strategic gameplay. The trailer coincides with the announcement of closed beta registration for the game's "Arena" mode. Players can request access via the Steam page, with testing running from March 17th to March 28th.
Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era is slated for Steam Early Access in Q2 2025. At launch, players can expect six distinct factions, three single-player modes, and three multiplayer modes. Ubisoft is publishing this highly anticipated title.
Recently, the Dungeon faction was revealed, introducing a compelling roster of units including troglodytes, dark elves, minotaurs, medusas, hydras, and dragons. These units promise to add exciting new strategic layers to the battlefield.
Unfrozen Games acknowledged the development challenges faced in creating the Arena mode, particularly in balancing hero and skill abilities within the constraints of limited space and the absence of starting advantages. These challenges, however, have been successfully overcome, resulting in a polished and enjoyable experience.
While a precise release date remains unannounced, Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era is targeting a PC launch later this year. The developers are striving to create a game that will resonate with both seasoned fans and newcomers to the series.
