HoYoverse has revealed details regarding the upcoming Genshin Impact update, Version 5.7. Titled "A Space and Time for You," this patch is scheduled to launch on June 18th. The content features new character introductions, narrative developments, a fresh combat mode, and a tactical mini-game crafted by the Sumeru Akademiya.
Skirk Arrives in Genshin Impact Version 5.7!
Skirk is an enigmatic figure closely linked to the Abyss, widely recognized as Childe’s elusive mentor. Her gameplay revolves around two distinct fighting styles and features a unique mechanic known as Serpent’s Subtlety.
Joining Skirk is Dahlia, a new 4-star Hydro character who serves as the Deacon of the Church of Favonius. Her kit focuses primarily on support roles. The first half of Genshin Impact Version 5.7 will feature Skirk, Dahlia, and a rerun for Shenhe. The second half is set to return Mavuika, the Pyro Archon, alongside Emilie.

Where’s the Story Heading? --------------------------The narrative picks up where the Bedtime Story quest concluded. The Traveler’s bond with their sibling strengthens as the Abyss Order makes its move in Natlan, causing unrest on both sides. Mavuika and her allies prepare for battle, while Dainsleif appears in a new form to aid the Traveler on the front lines.
In Sumeru, the Akademiya introduces a simulated adventure event that blends tactical decision-making with randomized elements. Players can assemble teams of Companion Pieces and select between two distinct paths: rainforest or desert.
Genshin Impact Version 5.7 also introduces Stygian Onslaught, a new permanent mode featuring three rotating bosses across six difficulty tiers. Rewards include Artifacts and Dust of Enlightenment, an item that allows players to re-roll substats on Level 20 Artifacts.
Finally, the update brings Travelers’ Tales: Gilded Chapter, a slice-of-life series capturing light moments across Teyvat. Mini-stories will feature characters such as Thoma, Neuvillette, and Dori.
