Monster Hunter Now's Season 4: A Frosty Adventure Awaits!
Niantic has unleashed Season 4 of Monster Hunter Now, transporting players to a breathtaking winter wonderland. Prepare for icy challenges and exciting new additions designed to keep the hunt exhilarating, even with virtual frostbite!
What's New in Season 4?
This season introduces a snowy tundra habitat, complete with biting winds, deep snowdrifts, and a host of formidable monsters. Newcomers include Lagombi, Volvidon, Somnacanth, and the fearsome Tigrex. Returning favorites like Barioth, Wulg, and Cortos also make appearances. Tigrex will be a prominent foe in Hunt-a-thons and may even surprise you in the wild. Unlock these creatures by completing urgent quests throughout Season 4's story chapters. Access to the tundra is granted upon completion of the prologue.
A powerful new weapon joins the arsenal: the Switch Axe. This versatile weapon seamlessly transitions between Axe Mode for powerful, sweeping attacks and Sword Mode for frenzied close-quarters combat. Unlock the Switch Gauge by finishing Chapter 2 of the pre-season story.
Customize your very own Palico companion! These helpful allies assist in material gathering and monster scouting. Personalize their fur color, facial features, and even bestow upon them a hilariously fitting name. AR enthusiasts can even take their custom Palico on real-world adventures for memorable photo opportunities.
Season 4 also introduces Friend Cheering, adding a cooperative element to the hunt. Send cheers to your friends to provide them with a temporary health boost for the day (with a daily limit).
