The Animal Festival, like other seasonal events in *Fields of Mistria*, is an annual occurrence. Miss it this year? No worries, it returns next winter!
However, remember that the festival begins on the 10th day of Winter. This gives you plenty of time to prepare your animals for their big moment. After all, a well-cared-for animal is more likely to win top honors.
How to Win the *Fields of Mistria* Animal Festival
The main event is a contest where you can enter up to two animals: one small (chickens, ducks, rabbits, etc.) and one large (cows, alpacas, sheep, etc.). Make sure your chosen animals are fully grown adults to participate.
Entering the Contest
Head to the festival grounds in the town center and speak with Josephine at the registration counter. She’ll guide you to the entry booths. She’ll also offer some valuable advice:
- Higher Hearts = Higher Score: Pet, feed, and let your animals outside on sunny days to boost their hearts and improve their score.
- Rare Coats = Better Odds: Unique coat colors (pink, blue, etc.) can significantly increase your animal's chances of winning.
Talk to Terithia (left booth) to enter your large animal and Landen (right booth) for your small animal. Once you've made your selections, return to Josephine and tell her you're ready for judging.
Animal Festival Prizes
A cutscene will announce the winners for both small and large animal categories. Winning first place against Hayden's Henrietta (chicken) or Sunshine (cow) earns you top honors! Your prizes will depend on your placing.
