What is the Falcon Mount in FFXIV?
FFXIV, with its Dawntrail expansion, boasts hundreds of mounts. The Falcon, however, stands out due to its limited availability. Initially offered during the "Fly the Falcon Mount" campaign celebrating Stormblood's release in Summer 2017 (requiring a 90-day subscription), it vanished afterward, leaving many players unable to obtain it.
How to Get the Falcon Mount in FFXIV
Fortunately, a path to this rare mount now exists through the recurring Moogle Treasure Trove event. This event offers a chance to earn various rewards, including mounts, minions, and more.
The current Phantasmagoria event features the Falcon Ignition Key, redeemable for the mount. To participate, complete any qualifying in-game duty—even GATEs at the Gold Saucer. Mogpendium challenges offer bonus Tomestones of Phantasmagoria.
These Tomestones are exchanged for rewards from the Initerant Moogle NPC (pictured above) in major cities. The Falcon mount requires 50 Tomestones of Phantasmagoria.
