Marvel Contest of Champions is gearing up for an action-packed April, introducing the thrilling new champion, Spider-Woman. Alongside her, Kabam is set to unveil another champion with a starkly different flair.
The Backstory of Spider-Woman in Marvel Contest of Champions
Spider-Woman, originally named Jessica Drew, faced a dire situation as a child when she was exposed to uranium near her home. Her father, a brilliant geneticist, attempted a groundbreaking experiment by injecting her with a blend of spider DNA. After a challenging recovery period, Jessica not only overcame the adverse effects but also emerged with extraordinary spider powers, eventually embracing her identity as Spider-Woman. You'll have the opportunity to add this new champion to your roster in MCOC starting April 17th.
But before you welcome Spider-Woman, get ready to meet another new champion, Lumatrix, who will make his entrance on April 9th. Known as one of the most lethal assassins created by the Founders, Lumatrix is designed for stealthy infiltration and deadly eliminations, showcasing his unique light-based powers.
What Else Is New?
On the narrative front, Act 9 Chapter 2, titled "Inquisition," unfolds with Carina severely injured after an encounter with Ouroborus's forces. Meanwhile, Doctor Doom aligns with the Fantastic Four to combat the spreading corruption of Chronoserpent. A new villain, Lotan, also emerges to challenge the heroes.
Starting April 9th and running until May 7th, a new Event Quest named "Spy Games" will launch. Black Widow will delve into the enigmatic Eidols, enlisting Spider-Woman's help to unravel the mystery.
Dark Phoenix makes a dramatic return in the Side Quest "Dark Bounties," placing bounties on various Champions. Players must track down these champions to claim their rewards.
The "Incursions: Dark Phoenix Saga Sector" also makes a comeback. Assemble your most powerful Saga champions to battle through for Dark Plumes, Light Essence, Tier 7 Basic Fragments, and 7-Star Class Signature Stones.
