Evercade's Super Pocket handheld line expands with Atari and Technos editions! These new handhelds will feature classic games from the respective platforms. A limited edition (2600 units) wood-grain Atari Super Pocket will also be available.
Game preservation remains a contentious issue, but Evercade offers a legitimate alternative to expensive secondhand games or emulation. Following successful Capcom and Taito releases, the Atari and Technos editions provide another avenue to enjoy retro gaming officially.
A Retro Revival
The Evercade Super Pocket offers a welcome alternative to emulation-based handhelds. While some may view the limited-edition wood-grain Atari model as a marketing tactic, its compatibility with existing Evercade cartridges provides a portable and convenient way to play retro games. The cartridges can easily be swapped between the handheld and a main Evercade console.
