This revelation came directly from the project's product manager, Yasuhiro Kitao, during a recent discussion with journalists. Although a similar-looking location was showcased in the game's trailer, Kitao clarified that it represents an entirely different setting.
The absence of poisonous swamps in *Elden Ring Nightreign* can be attributed to the lack of involvement from Hidetaka Miyazaki, the head of From Software. Miyazaki, renowned for his affinity for swamp environments, has been the driving force behind their inclusion in both *Elden Ring* and the *Dark Souls* series. However, he did not participate in the development of *Elden Ring Nightreign*.

On a brighter note, there's a glimmer of hope for fans of cooperative play. While *Elden Ring Nightreign* has been announced with one-player and three-player modes, the developers are currently contemplating the addition of a two-player mode.
