Disney Mirrorverse, the mobile game featuring a unique blend of Disney and Pixar characters, is shutting down. Developer Kabam announced the game's end-of-service (EOS) date as December 16th, 2024.
The game has already been removed from the Google Play Store, and in-app purchases are disabled. Players have approximately three months remaining to enjoy the game before the servers are permanently closed.
Have You Played Disney Mirrorverse?
Launched in June 2022, Disney Mirrorverse is an action RPG featuring reimagined Disney and Pixar characters. Kabam advises players to complete the final storyline before the game's closure.
Despite initial excitement among Disney fans, the two-year early access beta and infrequent content updates contributed to player attrition.
The Unexpected Disney Mirrorverse EOS
The game's potential remained largely untapped. Its challenging shard collection system, requiring significant investment for character maximization, proved a deterrent for many. However, the game's character designs were consistently praised for their creativity and visual appeal.
Adding to the disappointment, the EOS announcement comes just a week after a content update introducing Cinderella as a playable character. This abrupt closure surprised many players.
This isn't Kabam's first EOS announcement; they previously shut down Transformers: Forged to Fight and a Marvel Contest of Champions spin-off.
