In *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, some side quests can be easily overlooked, leading to missed opportunities. One such quest is finding Rosa’s book, which is crucial not only for completing the task but also for potential romance with Rosa. To unlock the "Rosa’s Book" side quest, you must first complete "Via Argentum" and start "Taking French Leave." After assisting the Ruthard family with Vavak, you'll be directed to speak with Rosa about a secret passage into Maleshov to rescue Hans. During this conversation, Rosa will request that you retrieve her book while you're there. Make sure to ask her about the specific book and promise to bring it back to her to officially start the "Rosa’s Book" quest.

It's important to note that you can only complete this side quest during the "Taking French Leave" mission. If you leave Maleshov with Hans without finding the book, the quest will fail, and you'll miss your chance to romance Rosa. Fortunately, the book is conveniently located on your path to Hans' room.
Upon entering Maleshov, head to the largest tower where Hans is located. Use the stairs on the side of the building to reach the entrance. Once inside, sneak past the kitchen area and wait for the guards upstairs to leave the tower. Then, proceed up the stairs where you'll find a room with Lady Ofka. She'll be facing the fireplace, allowing you to sneak up behind her and knock her out. Take the keys from her body, the keys from the podium, and the sword from the chest in her room. Rosa's book is also in this room, situated in a window alcove to the right of the fireplace. Pick up the red book to update your objective to return it to Rosa.

While you're in the area, don't forget to grab a sword from the chest in the next room. This will save time when you meet Hans, as you'll need two weapons for him and his surprise guest. After securing the book and the sword, head to the top level of the tower and unlock the door on the left to trigger a cutscene.

Following the cutscene, continue with "Taking French Leave." Although Hans may not want to use the passageway, you can progress towards romancing him by selecting the dialogue option with a heart, provided you made the same choice in Trosky. Sneak to the stables on the north side of Maleshov, knocking out and hiding guards as necessary. Clear a path, signal Hans, and ensure he reaches the stables safely.
After opening the gate, you'll be in another cutscene that concludes the quest. Once it's over, return to Kuttenberg City and visit Ruthard Palace to deliver Rosa's book in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*. This completes the "Rosa’s Book" side quest and potentially advances your relationship with Rosa.
