Disco Elysium: Android Visual Novel Release

ZA/UM, the creative minds behind the critically acclaimed Disco Elysium, have exciting news for fans and newcomers alike: they are developing a mobile version of the game specifically designed for Android devices. This new iteration promises to transform the gameplay experience into a visual novel format, featuring illustrated scenes, nonlinear narratives, and fully voiced dialogue, moving away from the original's isometric perspective.

The team at ZA/UM is aiming to "introduce Disco Elysium to a broader audience while providing loyal fans with an exciting mobile-friendly option." Tõnis Haavel, the head of ZA/UM, emphasized their strategy to reach a wider demographic:

"Our goal is to draw in TikTok users through short videos packed with compelling stories, stunning illustrations, and captivating audio recordings. This initiative will redefine entertainment by offering a fresh and deeply engaging experience.

Narrative-focused games like Disco Elysium deserve a place on mobile platforms. By honoring the essence of the original work, we strive to reintroduce this masterpiece to both new and returning players. Our hope is for everyone to rediscover their love for Disco Elysium—now accessible on their smartphones."

While the official release date has yet to be announced, fans and potential new players can look forward to more details being shared in the future. This mobile adaptation not only aims to expand the reach of Disco Elysium but also to offer a unique and immersive experience tailored for mobile gaming enthusiasts.
