Dead Sails Kraken Boss Guide
Your journey begins in the heart of the town, right across from the Gun Store and Hospital, and in front of the Trading Hut. Start by ditching any unnecessary loot and gearing up. A Rifle is a solid choice here, costing just $75 and packing enough punch to fend off most foes, at least temporarily. Don't forget to stock up on coal to keep your ship's old-school engine running smoothly.

Your next destination is 10,000 meters away. Just fire up the engine and set sail. While you can stop to take down Zombies and Drowned for loot, it's not always worth it due to the scarcity of valuables in the surrounding houses. To keep the ship moving, simply add more coal and restart. Don't let the worm on the right side spook you. Wait until you reach the second safe zone to sell your loot, but be cautious of Big Foot and Zombie mobs lurking on both sides of the river.

After the second safe zone/town, you'll encounter burning buildings teeming with mobs. If you're with friends, clear them out; otherwise, it's a waste of time due to the scattered spawn points. At around 12,000 meters, you'll find a castle-like house filled with Drowned, along with valuable loot like Shotgun ammo. Use these resources wisely.

Dead Sails Kraken Tips And Tricks
By now, the core gameplay loop should be familiar: kill, loot, repeat and hope the enemy suffers defeat. To master the game, focus on efficiency. Use your boat as a primary inventory, emptying your bag each time you return to save time and space.

A crucial tip for this guide is to stack Zombies near the incinerator. Although it's tempting to rush through those backwater towns, efficient loot stacking will pay off in the long run. Running low on fuel? Just toss a few Zombies in and you're set.

Another useful tip is to be cautious in Sheriff's offices, where you'll often find a higher concentration of mobs but also ample rewards in weapons and ammo. I managed to keep my shotgun stocked by having a friend clear the ground floor while we explored each town.

Save your ammo, weapons, fuel, and medkits for the fortress at around 25,000 meters. It's still under construction, making it easy for mobs to ambush you. I recommend tackling this with at least three people, ideally a five-person team. Be efficient when collecting loot.

Avoid engaging Big Feet after 30,000 meters; they're incredibly strong and consume a lot of ammo. Don't linger too long, and plan your stops wisely. Remember, loot isn't everything.
The town after 50,000 meters is one of my favorite farming spots, with at least two dozen Drowned and Zombies. If you have friends with Shotguns or a Sawn-off, it's an efficient way to gather corpses for fuel. Coordinate with your team to have the bodies ready for loading quickly.
How to Defeat the Kraken Boss in Dead Sails Kraken
As you approach the final safe zone, sell everything you can and stock up on ammo, weapons, and medkits. Don't underestimate the Zombies and Drowned. Have at least 8-10 corpses ready for fuel during this final stretch. At around 100,000 meters, you'll reach open waters and be ready to face the beast. The sign of its arrival is the darkening skies.

When the Kraken emerges, everyone must target a tentacle. The boss has significant health, with each tentacle capable of attacking and causing damage if not repelled. If you have five people, form a pentagram-like shape and focus on your individual tentacle.

Be wary of the water splash ability, which deals AoE damage and is telegraphed by the Kraken pulling back a tentacle and creating a water trail. Use medkits liberally, as some damage is unavoidable.

Lastly, watch out for the Roar AoE, which causes minor damage and seems to slightly buff the boss's damage. It's indicated by white concentric circles emanating from the tentacle that used the ability.
