The 2016 pack features the beloved characters: Miss Scarlet, Colonel Mustard, Reverend Green, Professor Plum, Dr. Orchid, and Mrs. Peacock. This pack is all about these characters, allowing you to place them in any scenario you desire, unbound by specific crime scenes or case files. You have the freedom to choose your favorite from the nostalgic lineup and even mix them with the newer 2023 cast for a unique gaming experience.
The fanbase of the 2016 version has been vocal about wanting these characters back, particularly since the introduction of the more modern 2023 characters. It's great to see Marmalade Game Studio responding to these requests by releasing this pack.
There’s More Coming to the Game!
In addition to the 2016 Suspects Pack, Clue aka Cluedo is introducing a new game mode: the Retro Rules Set. This mode, which harkens back to the original 1949 rules, is available for free. It brings back classic mechanics that alter how you move and make accusations. For instance, tokens start at designated spots on the board, and Miss Scarlet always takes the first move—unless she's absent, in which case Colonel Mustard steps in.
In this mode, you must be in a room to make an accusation, Clue Cards are omitted, and you cannot move through squares occupied by other players. This addition promises to enhance the nostalgic feel of the game.
