Monster Hunter Wilds is set to receive its first Title Update tomorrow, introducing quests that encourage competition based on fast clear times. In response to this update, Capcom has issued a strong warning against cheating and the use of external tools to manipulate rankings.
In a recent post on the Monster Hunter X/Twitter account, Capcom stated, "To ensure a fun and fair experience for our players, we will take action against accounts participating in fraudulent ranking activity, such as the use of cheating or external tools. Accounts deemed to be in breach of this may be suspended, or have restrictions placed on them, such as being unable to receive rewards from these quests."
Capcom has also emphasized that players who participate in multiplayer hunts with cheaters risk having their quest completion times invalidated and their "right to rewards" revoked for the entire party. The company advised players to be cautious and avoid playing with those engaging in prohibited activities, encouraging them to report any fraudulent behavior they encounter.
These competitive quests will offer cosmetic pendants as rewards, with some being distributed to all participants and others awarded based on Completion Time or hunter's ranking. This explains Capcom's stringent measures to maintain fairness and integrity in the game.
The Time-Based Competition Quests will be accessible through the new Arena Quest Counter in the Grand Hub in Suja, which players can unlock by completing a special tutorial mission. Make sure to head to the Grand Hub as soon as Title Update 1 goes live tomorrow in Monster Hunter Wilds. For more details, check out the Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 1 patch notes.
