After two failed launches and months of anticipation, *Rune Slayer* has finally arrived, and it's nothing short of glorious. Whether you're new to MMORPGs or a seasoned veteran, diving into *Rune Slayer* can be an exhilarating journey. To help you hit the ground running, we've put together a comprehensive guide to kickstart your adventure in this captivating world.

Rune Slayer Beginner Tips

Here are some essential tips we wish we had known from the start, to make your initial steps in *Rune Slayer* smoother and more enjoyable.

Do not randomly attack other players

When we first heard about *Rune Slayer*'s full-loot PvP feature, we feared it might turn into a chaotic bloodbath. Fortunately, that's not the case. **When you die in *Rune Slayer*, you don’t lose anything**, even if another player takes you down. You simply respawn and continue your adventure.

However, **if you attack other players, you'll gain a bounty**. The more players you kill, the higher your bounty grows, and the more items you'll drop upon your next death. So, the only way to engage in full-loot PvP is by initiating attacks on other players, which could lead to your own downfall if someone else takes you out.

Our advice? **Avoid attacking other players** unless you have a solid reason or a group of friends to back you up. It's not worth the risk unless you're prepared for the consequences.

Craft Bags ASAP

You'll quickly realize that both your **bank space and inventory are limited**. With only 50 slots, your inventory fills up fast. To manage this, **craft bags** as soon as possible. You can equip up to two bags simultaneously, starting with the **Cotton Bag**.

To craft a Cotton Bag, gather **Cotton from north of Wayshire and Flax from the south**. Be cautious in the southern areas, as they can be dangerous due to hostile mobs. Each Cotton Bag adds an extra 10 slots to your inventory, so craft them as soon as you can.

Your pets don’t actually die

There's a common misconception that your tamed pets die permanently when their health reaches zero. That's not true. **When your pet "dies," it can't be summoned for 5 minutes**. You can check this cooldown by holding **T**.

Once the cooldown is over, hold **T** again to summon your pet back. Additionally, for a quick **heal, store and unstore your pet at the stable master**. You have one free slot available for this purpose.

Grab all the Quests (Yes, all of them)

*Rune Slayer* offers a plethora of quests, many of which are not repeatable and can seem forgettable. Most quests follow the typical "Kill 10 X" format seen in many MMORPGs. To manage this efficiently, **accept every quest you come across**, including those from the Job board.

Completing multiple quests at once is far easier than tackling them one by one. You'll often find that you can combine quests or jobs, making your progress more efficient. We were surprised to find we had completed three quests without even realizing it when we returned to Wayshire.

Craft everything at least once (even things you don’t need)

While it's essential to craft what you need, **use your spare materials to craft items you might not immediately require**. Crafting items for the first time often unlocks new, more powerful crafting options. For example, smelting our first Iron Ore unlocked a range of new Iron Armor crafts.

Don't hoard your materials; use them to explore new crafting possibilities.

Join a Guild

*Rune Slayer* is friendly to solo players, but as you delve deeper into the game, you'll encounter **tougher enemies**. Many of these, especially those with large health bars, are designed to be tackled in groups. **Joining a guild is the easiest way to find a group** to take on these challenges.

Use the general chat to express your need for a guild, or explore the official *Rune Slayer* Discord server to find one. Having a group of allies can make all the difference in facing the game's toughest foes.
