Later today (July 31), EA will unveil the first official glimpse of Battlefield 6's highly anticipated multiplayer mode. However, ahead of the reveal, the shooter has experienced multiple major leaks.
Not only has a portion of the new trailer surfaced prematurely, showcasing vehicles, destructible environments, and upcoming gameplay mechanics expected at Battlefield 6's launch later this year—rumored for October—but Insider Gaming has also leaked potential open beta dates.

Insider Gaming reports three beta tests scheduled for August, beginning with a 48-hour closed event starting August 7. Access codes will be available through Twitch drops during content creator streams coinciding with the multiplayer reveal or via game pre-orders. An open beta is expected to follow on August 9 for two days, with a final 72-hour test running August 14-17.
While unconfirmed, pre-orders will likely become available later today following EA's detailed multiplayer presentation.
These leaks shouldn't come as a complete surprise—virtually every aspect of Battlefield 6 has leaked since its initial announcement. Developer DICE has reportedly received "loads of feedback from highly engaged testers." Unlike Battlefield 2042's tepid reception, fan reactions to leaked content have been overwhelmingly positive, with EA previously showing little urgency in removing leaked materials. Leaks have revealed innovations like a new drag mechanic, vehicle mounting capabilities, enhanced movement systems, 3D mapping, environmental destruction upgrades, quality-of-life improvements, and glimpses of battle royale match starts.
Prior to today's full reveal, EA released a campaign teaser last week hinting at a global conflict. The near-future narrative depicts NATO under coordinated attacks—including strikes on Georgian bases, Gibraltar's invasion, and the assassination of NATO's secretary general in Brussels by the insurgent group Pax Armata.
The road to Battlefield 6 has been lengthy since its 2021 announcement. While we've seen early concept art and confirmation of its modern setting, contrary to earlier speculation, the game won't carry an $80 price tag.
