Bam Margera, the iconic former professional skateboarder and Jackass star, has been confirmed to be included in the upcoming Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4, despite not being on the initial list of returning skaters. This exciting news was shared by skateboarding media veteran Roger Bagley during a members-only livestream on The Nine Club skateboarding podcast, as reported by Video Games Chronicle.
According to Bagley, the game was already finalized when Tony Hawk personally reached out to Activision, requesting Margera's addition. Despite being initially told it was impossible, Hawk's persistence paid off, ensuring Margera's inclusion in the final lineup. IGN has reached out to Activision for further comment on this development.
Margera's journey has been marked by well-documented struggles with alcohol and substance abuse, including multiple rehab stints. He was also dismissed from the Jackass Forever project and faced a restraining order from Jackass director Jeff Tremaine following alleged threats. Despite these challenges, Margera's recent skateboarding video alongside Tony Hawk sparked speculation about his return to the game.
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4 is set to launch on July 11, 2025, across multiple platforms including PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Developed by Iron Galaxy, this project has overcome significant hurdles, including nearly being canceled following the merger of its previous developer, Vicarious Visions, with Blizzard.
