Roblox developer Kitawari has released Anime Vanguards Winter Update 3.0, a major update bringing significant changes to the tower defense game's unit roster, lobby, and overall quality of life. This winter-themed update introduces a wealth of new content designed to keep players engaged for weeks.
The most immediate change is a complete lobby overhaul, providing a much more spacious and visually appealing environment for anime fans. This revamp also includes a remastered UI, particularly a significantly improved and cleaner stage selection interface. As Kitawari explains in the patch notes, the previous lobby was too small and cramped, hindering the addition of new game modes. The new lobby is described as "10x more impressive," featuring a customizable day and night cycle accessible in the settings.
A key addition is the new Portals game mode, encouraging players to utilize winter units and skins for increased team damage and bonus rewards. A Sandbox Mode also debuts, allowing for unrestricted experimentation with strategies. Twelve new units are introduced across a new Winter Banner, the Portals game mode, the battle pass, and leaderboard rewards.
Numerous quality-of-life improvements streamline the gameplay experience. These include smoother unit placement, Evolution Quests now appearing in a dedicated tab, searchable skins and familiar windows, and improved unit targeting highlights. The Winter Update 3.0 is available now.
